Branding and Exhibition Design for Girl Gaze
Creative Black Country
Project Overview
Girl Gaze: Journeys Through the Punjab & The Black Country, UK presents a captivating photographic journey delving into The Punjab and diaspora communities in the West Midlands, spotlighting the perspectives of young girls and women. This exhibition showcases newly-commissioned works by four talented women artists: Jocelyn Allen (UK), Jennifer Pattison (UK), Andrea Fernandes (India), and Uzma Mohsin (India). It delves into a myriad of themes including gender, identity, patriarchy, tradition, culture, memory, place, belonging, and difference, offering profound insights into the lives of women in both regions. As part of the event design, we crafted a distinctive visual identity using a bespoke typeface and unique brand elements, seamlessly integrated across all communications channels, including social media posts, invitations, posters, event catalog, and outdoor displays. Collaborating closely with the curator and artists, we conceptualized exhibition designs tailored to various venues, ensuring each work is showcased vividly in multiple formats.
